The concept

What is Genioz?

Genioz is a free online multiplayer trivia game played right in the browser — no account, nothing to install, on mobile and desktop alike. One player creates a game, shares a 4-letter code, and 2 to 8 players battle it out for about 10 minutes. Unlike classic quizzes such as Kahoot or Trivial Pursuit, it’s not just “right or wrong”: in Genioz, half-knowledge is playable too — knowing it’s “somewhere in Europe” is already a move, pinpointing the exact city is a bigger one.

A game strings together rounds across three game modes: The Zoom (choose how precise your answer is — the sharper you aim, the more it pays), The Spark (three clues from different worlds point to one single answer) and Scorched Earth (one category, several waves, every answer already given is burned). Mix mode alternates them so the skill that matters changes every round. And at the end of the game, Total Recall brings back the questions the table missed, for double points. Perfect for a night with friends, family game night, or playing remotely over a video call. Available in French, English, Spanish, German and Italian.

The game

Three modes, one mix

Three ways to play general knowledge — precision, connections, depth — plus the Mix that strings them together.

The Zoom

Choose your precision.

Continent, country or city? The sharper you aim, the more it pays — but missing at the tier you picked is unforgiving.

PrecisionDiscover The Zoom →

The Spark

Connect the 3 clues.

Three clues from different worlds, one single answer. A fast spark takes the max.

ConnectionsDiscover The Spark →

Scorched Earth

Dig into your memory.

One category, wave after wave: any answer already given is burned for good. Survive by digging deeper.

The Mix

All the modes, back to back.

The Zoom, The Spark and Scorched Earth string together round after round. The real Genioz: a different skill matters every turn.

Play: aim, connect, dig

Short rounds, a mode that changes which skill matters. Choose your precision, connect the clues, dig into your memory — and remember the reveals: missed questions come back at the end of the game for double points.

Why Genioz is different

Most quizzes only know “right or wrong”. Genioz plays knowledge the way it really works: half-sure, networked, buried. The Zoom makes half-knowledge pay, The Spark rewards those who connect across fields, Scorched Earth those who dig deeper than the obvious. And Total Recall crowns those who learn during the game. A trivia party game you leave more cultured — and where beginners and know-it-alls both stand a chance.
